ABOUT THE BOOK
The bodyguards of Elite Guardians Agency have more than just skill and prowess in common--they're also all women. When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians in order to protect his son.
But when Wade's bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap. Olivia's skills are about to be tested to the limit as Wade's stalker moves from leaving innocent gifts at his door to threatening those closest to him. Olivia has the feeling that she's next on the list. And to complicate things even further, she realizes that her heart may be in as much danger as her client.
MY REVIEW
Lynette Eason is one of my favorite suspense writers and this book definitely lived up to my expectations. I really enjoyed this book!
First off, I love that the Elite Guardians are all women! Some of my favorite characters in crime shows on TV are female. :) They do pull in help from other agencies though once the danger increases. And I liked how Olivia's backstory plays into why she started the Elite Guardians Agency.
There was no lack of edge of your seat suspense! When the first bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, you find out really quick that this stalker has planned and knows what they are doing. As the story moved along I had my ideas as to who the stalker was but there were plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing. The story moves along at a fast pace with lots of highly suspenseful action scenes.
You also get your behind the scenes romance with Olivia and Wade. They struggle to keep their feelings for one another from growing for more than one reason. But as they learn to know one another and draw on each others strengths to try to find this stalker and protect Wade and his family, they can't help but fall in love. They also help each other strengthen/renew their relationships with God.
